Baby Blob

Well I have been getting a ton of static for not updating my blogs. So here is a picture of our baby....which looks more like a blob from the ultrasound we got when we found out we were pregnant. So this is from December 12. I had my first Dr. appointment on January 2 and we had another ultrasound but didn't get any pictures. You could see a little more, where the hands and feet are going to be developed and the baby was moving around while the Dr. was doing it. It is amazing to me that it is so young and little and not fully developed and we could see it moving around. I had been really sick to the point where I had lost 15 pounds. Not that I couldn't use to lose 15 pounds, but it seems a little scary. I talked to the Dr. about it, and he didn't seem too concerned. He said the baby will take what it needs from me even if I am not getting what I need. They ended up prescribing phenergan and zofran. Phenergan makes me REALLY tired.....like I am on narcotics, tired. So I only take that at night. The zofran is what the prescribe to cancer patients that are going through chemo to help with nausea. It scares me to be taking prescriptions while I am pregnant so I try not to take it unless I absolutely need it.

The Most Advanced Technology You'll Ever Pee On

Tuesday December 11, 2007 I was feeling sick to my stomach and decided to take a pregnancy test and to my pleasant surprise it was positive! We thought I was only like 3 weeks along or something. So I went to the new hospital and took a blood test. They didn't get me the results until Wednesday and then called and said my HCG levels were really high. So they wanted me to come in for an ultrasound. I was so nervous because the nurse made it sound scary. So we went in and the Dr. poked around and said he was looking at, "ONE healthy baby." I started to cry! Jon and I are so happy! Later Jon called me at work and said, "what are you doing?" I said, "just working, what are you doing?" and he said, "talking to my pregnant wife!" Isn't that cute!
